Day 2 - Adjustments

Well day 2 felt interesting.

My stomach was making strange noises at me. My head is clear though. I think that this is just more of a detoxification than I was expecting. I'm very hungry alot of the time, even though I eat alot more than I'm used to. It's interesting how meats and processed foods are so much harder for your body to digest.

My foods for the day?

2 dates
1/2 papaya
1/2 cup cucumber
3/4 cup nuts
2 cups grapes
10 baby carrots
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
2 apples
1/8 red pepper
1 tsp olive oil
balsamic vinegar
greens (yes including kale..)
soy sauce

My calorie intake for the day, even with ALL THAT FOOD was 853.
Amazing.

I'm going to karate tonight, and I just ate my salad and feel super energized. I should also add that I'm drinking ALOT of water.. I always have. 3 litres a day minimum. That will help cleanse your system.

On another note, I'm super excited because thursday's the show and I've got a good feeling about it. I also have a billion new samples to play with (thankyou Christoph) and a few new plugins too.

I'm off to karate now.
(I just typed "karaoke" instead of "karate". I should have left it.)

One love.

  1. it is possibe to overhydrate yourself. that can fuck with your blood pressure and cause headaches, head rushes, and siezures. a good rule of thumb as to how much water you drink. take the ammount of pounds you are, and devide that in half. that's about how many ounces of water you need in a day. of course the more extranious exercise the more water you need, but I don't think 3 liters is what you need. that's enough for someone that's 190 lbs.

as for having a vegan diet, you've got to makes sure you're getting the appropriate ammount of complete protiens. There's a few sources of complete protiens and those are meat, milk, eggs, and fish. Plant proteins tend to be limited in one or more essential amino acids. For example, beans are low in the amino acid lysine, while rice is rich in lysine.

When the amino acids from two or more foods together make up a complete protein with sufficient levels of all the essential amino acids, these food pairings are called "complementary proteins".

try to research the foods you're ingesting and see whether you're getting the proper protien in your diet.

  2. Also, are you eating all at once? Or are you eating it slowly throughout the day?
your metabolism will depend greatly on the timing of your meals.

If you eat one large meal a day, your body will think it's starving, and whenever you eat something it'll take any energy from the food that it can, and convert it into fat for storage to be burned off slowly.

if your body is constantly digesting, it'll put less effort into fat storage, plus it takes energy to break down foods, so you'll be burning calories at a faster rate.
